It's about frigging time !!! I've heard it stated over and over

today and yesterday and it's really cheering me up! :D

After years and years of Raygun, Bush 1 & 2 denigrating single parents...

this is really refreshing to hear the admiration being espoused. :D

Never heard this talk before, from any of them, that much.

Seems Obama has opened an old door that was slammed shut!

Good!

And The Equal Pay for Equal Work Act had been languishing

in the House and Senate for 11 YEARS!!! No thanks to the rethugs! :grr:

It just passed last week... finally! :woohoo:

2. Sorry but you lost me there, Joe, that 'Welfare to Work was good'?!

If fucked over lots of poor women/men and then they signed

NAFTA and left all those single parents in the lurch!! :grr:

You had me with the respect part but you lost me on that!

Yes, being able to work is a great idea but there wasn't

enough funding for daycare or training and you didn't cut

Corporate Welfare!! :grr:

6. Yes it is. The difficult thing right now is there is SO much that desperately needs
attending to. I hope he has a crackerjack cabinet and committees and so forth to handle the legwork for him. *head spinning*

8. I am hoping so, but the very conservative dems make me worry
about having a true majority. Still, we can hope and vote for the progressives. (I would LOVE to send Susan Collins a-packin'!)

be gaining at least 6 to 8 seats in the Senate, so... the times are changing but we'll have to work hard the next two months
to make it happen! Hit the phones, the web and the streets to convince people to vote for change for the better! ;)
