Military ops in Iraq - does anyone know:

First, I am very grateful American casualties are down, but does anyone know reasons why? Does anyone know of any recent articles dealing with Iraq and troop actions?

Because here is why - I am wondering if American casualties are down for a variety of reasons and these reasons have little to do with the "surge."

What I'm getting at is this: I suspect the casualties are down because of 1)American solider operations and actions have drastically changed, i.e., less patrols; 2) Iraq has been walled off from itself so drastically to create more security and 3) We have paid off fighting factions.

Any other ideas or sources?

1. You left out that we have killed 1.2 million and

have made refugees of 4 million. The ones remaining have learned to stay indoors and out of the way of the fucking amerikans. But, youre right, its mainly because we have paid them off with our tax dollars.

monday....the start of the coincidental convention...they are turning over the anbar province to the iraqi forces....funny how those dates coincided.
