I am so sick and tired of the MSM
I really attempt to avoid it like the plague, but with all the convention coverage, I have been flipping back and forth on the remote. Everywhere I turn, it seems to be all negative when it comes to our party. Amazing, since "journalists" like Lou Dobbs and the fools at Fox keep saying that the media is in the tank for Obama. I have got to stop watching these fools, or my blood pressure will continue to soar.

9. Ralph Reed's critique of Edwards' speech on CNN right after it was over was the last straw for me.

That was 4 years ago. I have not looked back. Thank gawd for CSPAN

2. I quit watching TV quite a few years ago..
My blood pressure and IQ are both far better thanks to that decision.

I honestly think that TV has a net negative effect on intelligence, the more you watch the dumber you are. TV radiates ignorance like a kind of negative energy field.

3. I did hear a good lead-in on CNN this morning -
Let me see if I can get this right:

"Hillary whole-heartedly threw her support behind Obama last night urging her supporters to do the same; put a period to her own presidential bid and also delivered some heavy blows to John McCain."

I liked that.

4. Since 2004 I stopped watching the MSM. You perception is also correct
it is mostly negative against us. They are constantly interupting projecting republican talking points

Perhaps the most outrageous example was faux last night. During Warner's Keynote speech, faux was didn't show it, but instead decided to talk with rudy about Obama's link to the weather underground.

For you health my recommendation would be to stick with CSPAN

5. About "the media is in the tank for Obama"...just look at BushCo for the truth.
Everything BushCo did to the country came with an obfuscatory label specifically designed to fool the public. From "No Child Left Behind" which left entire school systems behind, to "Clear Skies" which belched up new levels of pollution not seen in nearly four decades, back when rivers caught fire and factories spewed toxic clouds into neighborhoods and cities.

Whatever they say they're doing, you can be sure they mean the opposite. So you can take Dobbs' and Fox's whining about "Liberal Media" as tacit proof that the media is anything but.

8. You can program your remote to skip channels
If you're a channel surfer like me, just simply edit out channels like FOXnews.

10. There is nothing "mainstream" about our corporate whore media.
They suck. I pretty much tuned out last March.

11. The Gerbil Wheel Keeps Turning
Barnacle Mike Plagarist spoke the unspoken truth the other day when he said there really was no news at this convention, nor will there be at the RNC. The nominees are known and every event is carefully choreographed. This leaves the corporate media (they're too elistist to be "mainstream"...a term they use to attempt to make it seem that way) with lots of time to fill and they need a storyline, a controversy...some kinda sizzle to get people to watch. It's like a reality show based strictly in the bubbleworld of "conventional wisdom" and stereotypes created by years of non-stop GOOP media-baiting and astroturfing.

I've enjoyed the Convention as I CONTROL MY MEDIA, not them. I have flipped around the dial...Faux makes for great comic relief...just like a gaper...driving past the accident and seeing all the debris, but then I turn to the blogs to get the REAL news.

That said, I do think having Keith and Rachel in prominent roles in the coverage this year is a vast improvement over the shoddy job the corporate media did in '04.

Cheers...

14. Heavy skepticism of all Democrats. wide-eyed wonder and delight at all Republicans
It is really pretty transparent. It almost killed me in 2004, when they would cherry-pick Kerry's worst soundbites and then Bush's best soundbites.

Kerry would make a great speech, and they would find the one sentence in it that sounded lame.

Bush would make a horrible speech, and they would find the one sentence that sounded good.

It is so important that we get out and talk to people about Obama.

15. Best thing I ever did was stop watching the MSM
I will watch CSpan, BBC, PBS and read blogs for news. I will watch local news for the weather but little else. I miss Keith but can get clips here and I hope to see clips of Rachel's new show but I am not yelling at an inanimate object anymore.

16. Might I suggest that you read some books on brain washing and propaganda.
And then start watching the M$M. In other words, understanding the modus operandi
will help one to know the intent behind an endless flow of coincidence after coincidence.

Of course a picture are worth a thousand words…

And then there’s this picture on this thread

Oh and by the way, M$M is spelled “M” “dollar sign ($)” “M”.
