I just got back from the "bridge to nowhere"

Or at least from the airport which would have been served by it had it ever gotten built. We took about a five minute ferry ride from the island the airport is on to the mainland. I talked to a few people who live on the island and they have not given up hope the thing will be built someday, but they really didn't sound optimistic. They also seemed a bit pissed at Sen Ted Stevens not for being a crook but for being dumb enough to get caught. Most of the people who didn't live on the island thought the bridge was a stupid idea and Stevens is a giant buffoon.

On the bright side we caught a hell of a lot of salmon.

2. We blew our budget on the trip and couldn't afford to ship the fish back

So we arranged to have them delivered to one of the local rescue missions.

But we did enjoy one or two delicious dinners while we were there thank you.
