DUDE! They're playing Lenny Kravitz at the DNC!
Edited on Mon Aug-25-08 08:04 PM by Journalgrrl
I am so pumped! Did you see Jesse Jackson Jr. speak? that guy is another statesman to watch. I got chills at several times during his speech. Atop the mountain, indeed!

and Obama's Sister, Maya? too cool...I like how she talked about how he will make sure our kids are given the same chances and world of opportunity that he wants HIS kids to have...even my 6 yr old got that one!

who else is really excited!!!!????

(I wasn't this excited about Kerry, and haven't felt this inspired since Bill C.... and yet, I surely don't get the feeling that Obama has the skeletons lurking in his closet that the Clinton family did (but I was too young and naieve to understand that back then...)

Such a great time to be a LIBERAL!!! teehee ;)
GOOBAMA!!! fired UP! :woohoo:

14. Thank you so much for posting that link
I hadn't seen the video. Not only because, of course, I'm a love Obama and the messgae, but I am a HUGe Kravitz fan. I remember and sing along with Flowers for Zoe. He loved that lil girl so much and it is clear the he and Lisa did a marvelous job with her. Not surprising that she could sing but what poise and elegance she posseses even sitting in a torn sweatshirt? Thanks.

9. Not trying to slam,
Just saying that I was very inspired by BC...and also very dissapointed in him too, that's all. ..

don't try to start a fight, I ain't hatin' !!!

I was just acknowledging my youth and naivete at the 92 DNC, too. I didn't understand the issues very well, but I did love BC's charisma. That was my point....sorry not making much sense, trying to post, make diner and deal with kids all at once too! lol

I was 21-22 when Bill came on the scene and I felt nothing but inspirtation and pride in being a liberal and democrat. I thought it was a new day for America and that he was going to lead all of us (left and right) to a better future.

Now I'm 40 (in a two months), and it's Obama's turn. I've felt some of the same inpiration as I did 20 years ago, but I have to admit I am more jaded.

For those of us who had our naive political hearts broken a little, we know you weren't bashing.

But now, enjoy the convention.
