The judge who sentenced Saddam Hussain to death, Raouf Abdul Rahman, is seeking asylum in Britain, Al Jazeera reported last night.

The TV channel quoted sources as saying that Abdul Rahman and his family had arrived in London on a vacation in December.

But with the security situation in Iraq declining by the day, he chose to stay back. He apparently has received several death threats, the channel said.
