Bush to go to the land of Katrina today .... I really hate that man
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 08:04 AM by Botany
 bush took the money for levy system around New Orleans for his
war in Iraq, ate cake & goofed off as the city was drowning, did a fly over
4 days after the storm saying, "It looks bad from up here I bet it is worse on the
ground", and tons of other stupid acts ..... Yet now he is going down there w/ a vetted crowd
to do a photo op .... I hope he gets a chance to meet some real people and they
tell him to stick it up his ass. The man is a disgrace.

Bush: New Orleans still struggling to recover
14 hours ago
CRAWFORD, Texas (AP) — President Bush says he sees hopeful signs of progress in New Orleans three years after Hurricane Katrina, but acknowledges the city is still struggling to recover.
Bush travels to New Orleans and nearby Gulfport, Miss., on Wednesday. The White House released an advance copy of a speech he is going to deliver.
In it, Bush says there's still a lot of work to do before New Orleans is fully recovered. He acknowledges that people are "still hurting" but says "a brighter day is coming."

BTW on Saturday before the storm the Governor of Louisiana declared the area a disaster and that federalized
the response aka it was bush's job to do something .... but he did nothing and thousand died.

He has no shame what so ever.

Funny reporters could get to the people stuck in the super dome but the govt.
could not get to them for days as they got sick and died.

8. Certainly he has no shame! Fortunately this will be the last time
he will be able to use them for his self-serving photo-ops. Disgraceful drunken pig, that he is.

6. Another tax payer financed fund raiser.
Do a photo op. hug a black person, and then on to the fund raiser the faithful have to go to and give the RNC $2300 of their tax cut.

10. Brighter days are coming?
They could of come a hell of a lot faster if he took all that money he sent to Iraq to rebuild after the Katrina catastrophy.....better yet...it may not of been AS devastating if they had fixed the damn Levy's to begin with. That man makes my ass hurt. Someone smash that cake in his frigging face.

12. And what do you want to bet that the people he meets with and speaks to
...are all WHITE?

I'd love to see him tour the 9th ward and the FEMA trailers and the tent cities.

14. Blackwater boots landed in New Orleans without previous authority
Mr. Scahill details how Blackwater boots landed in New Orleans without previous authority from any government agency for a week. Thereafter, they landed a contract with Homeland Security to patrol New Orleans.

15. That's interesting. Neither Sunherald.com or wwltv.com mention it.
At least not on their front page. Guess they are really excited about him being there.

It's funny how he's already viewed as a former president. "Lame ducks" always get ignored a little bit, but I've never seen one ignored like this.
