I was always amazed that they built such a large enterprise on cookies.

2. They and Starbucks should team up...
Maybe get a certain state governor to shill for them because he can't be bothered to take care of his own state?

7. The only thing that made them economical...
...was buying them to sneak into a theater in lieu of concession stand candy.

8. Wow... I remember when she opened the first stores
I watched them close around LA. Stand alone stores in strip malls seemed to close pretty quickly. I'd wonder who'd want a cookie so badly they'd struggle to find a spot in an LA strip mall. <shrug>

10. She does a lot of motivational speaking...
Edited on Mon Aug-18-08 03:57 PM by XOKCowboy
She's appeared at shows I've done and is very good onstage. Her message, as you can see on her website, is about empowerment and taking risks. Plus she's very attractive and easily approachable.

I also have always wondered about her business strategy. I've walked by hundreds of her stands and after checking the prices once, never stopped again.

my sister use to work for her as a supervisor over stores in several states - my sister was fired for getting pregnant - and as Mrs Fields neighbor, whom just happened to be the Judge on the case said - thats a perfectly acceptable thing to do in Utah (its a right to work state).
