More Republican Senators got VECO $$$$$
More Senators got VECO $$$$$ and free fishing trips to Alaska!

Regarding the charges brought. Why not bribery?
The charges are for false filings under penalty of perjury, and carry mandatory prison terms.
I suspect that Ted Stevens is being leveraged, as in forced to cooperate to avoid life in prison,
for the purpose of gaining more convictions. Some other targets may also be Republican Senators.

Ted is the new Jack Abramoff.
But Don Young might give him competition!
Don Young's indictments will fall any day now.
The next question is which Congressperson is next!

VECO and VECO management gave lots of money to Ted's Northern Lights PAC.

Ted gave his PAC money to:

Abraham, Alexander, Allard, Allen, Ashcroft, Bennett, Bond, Brownback, Bunning, Burns,
Burr, Bush, Campbell, Chafee, Chambliss, Coburn, Cochran, Coleman, Collins, Coors, Corker,
Cornyn, Craig, Crapo, D'Amato, DeMint, DeWine, Dole, Domenici, Ensign, Enzi, Faircloth,
Fitzgerald, Fong, Fong, Franks, Frist, Ganske, Giuliani, Gorton, Graham, Grams, Grassley,
Gregg, Hastert, Hatch, Humphreys, Hutchinson, Inhofe, Inouye, Isakson, Jeffords, Jones,
Kean, Kyl, Lazio, Lott, Lugar, Martinez, Mattingly, McCain, McCollum, McConnell,
McGavick, Michels, Murkowski, Murkowski, Nethercutt, Nickles, Raese, Ricketts, Roberts,
Roth, Ryan, Sand, Santorum, Shelby, Smith, Snowe, Specter, Steele, Stenberg, Sununu,
Talent, Terrell, Thomas, and Thune.

1. It begs the question: If the Republicans returned all questionable funds...
what would be their average debt?

Would they be considered, economically, Democrats?

2. How about, if they returned all those earmarks to the taxpayers??
What would it do to the USG balance sheet?
