Hubby and I homeschool our daughter, and I'll stack her test scores against any other kid in her grade any day. True, we meet with a credentialed teacher monthly; we get quite a bit of support. The two Bachelor's, three Master's, and two doctoral decrees between us sure do help.

I think that you could have put your nice joke up without resorting to generalizations about homeschoolers. Visit our Homeschooling Group, and get a clue!

Moreover, "this is what happens when home schooling" is not gramatically correct. My kid suggests, "This is what happens with homeschooling," or "This is what happens when there's homeschooling in the picture."

Wrong again. I'm a democrat and we homeschool for academic reasons. School is dumbed down and intended to produce drones who question nothing. Try looking at the statistics instead of parroting propaganda put out by the teacher's unions. Teacher's have been trained in crowd control, not in the subjects they're supposed to teach. Look at our pathetic standing in the world when comparing US children to those in other countries.

Home schooled children, on average, score higher than public or privately schooled children. Colleges and universities love them because they actually know how to think. You had no reason to even mention home schoolers, except your own ignorance and prejudice.

There was no such thing as a kid that couldn't read when i was a kid ages ago. It was unheard of. Blame the gov not the teachers that work their asses off. And no I'm not wrong, people are just dumber and dumber each decade.
