3. Out of state operator submits low bid.

4. State moves the goalposts, changes criteria to make sure local monopoly wins.

5. State subsidizes monopoly to tune of $4.9 million in operating expenses.

6. State buys monopoly 16 new buses at $400K each.

7. Monopoly eliminates service to low-income residents of Manchester.

2. Vermont Transit and Concord Trailways, huh?

Don't be so sure that Vermont Transit were the good
guys: they cut (essentially) all the bus service to
Nashua a few years ago after starving the service for
years; service that Mr. Tesha depended upon to get to
his (then) job in Boston.

Nowadays, Boston Express, a division of Concord Trailways
is once again providing service and much better service
than the old VTL service at that! And, lo and behold,
they're getting passengers on board like gangbusters!

What's Concord Trailways doing with regard to Manchester?
