He's turned off by the Olympics because of this, plus the transparency of the pro-America overhype. I think the only thing he's watched is the basketball game.
Turning off the sound in between the events is definitely helpful.
5. I was switching between NBC and Canadian coverage of the Olympics today. CBC was way better.
Very professional, intelligent commentary. None of the incessant chattering about things mundane because they don't know what the fuck else to say to fill up the sound bytes. It was refreshing.
specifically the I remember the winter olympics in Sapporo, Japan. Even though I was a little kid I recall watching athletes from all over the world being covered equally.
I haven't watched more than 30 minutes of competition. By the time it's aired here, it's old nooze anyway. I'm following tennis live via the Olympic site. They've got a live feed updating the set score of each match in progress.
