Poll question: When The Time Comes Should Gore Pardon Bush
Looking back at what Gerald Ford did, or did not do, for this nation with his pardon of Richard Nixon how do you feel about Al Gore pardoning bush soon after he takes office?

3. Only if he wants it to happen again in 20 years.

That's what seemed to cause it in the first place.

I guess if the president is actually capable of being punished for committing crimes it would serve as a dissuasion for future crimes.

or so goes the logic used by Republicans for supporting the death penalty...which doesn't work.

Just thinking out loud...shoot me down.

9. Nixon redux.
And the same imperial, secretive, anti-constitutional travesties would occur with another repub administration down the road. Our nation can survive the impeachment or criminal trial of a corrupt president. Actually, we need it. The Constitution must prevail.
