Frederick police launch probe into Duley's claims

As the FBI meets today with victims' families and survivors of the 2001 anthrax mailings, the Frederick Police Department is beginning an investigation into claims made by a therapist who testified Fort Detrick scientist Bruce Ivins tried to poison people as early as 2000.

Therapist's claims to be probed

In Frederick, a new investigation is being launched.

Frederick Police Department detectives plan to examine a peace order and testimony from Janet Duley, a therapist who came to know Ivins while he was treated at Comprehensive Counseling Associates in Frederick, Lt. Shawn Martyak said Tuesday.

Duley, the counseling center's program director, ran group and individual sessions. She described Ivins as homicidal and threatening.

During a July 24 hearing, Duley, 45, testified in Frederick County District Court that "as far back as the year 2000, (Ivins) has actually attempted to murder several other people either through poisoning. He is a revenge killer."

The investigation into Ivins' death is continuing and detectives have not received a final autopsy report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Martyak said.

1. Well, now Duley has progressed from being called

a mere social worker to "Duley, the counseling center's program director."

And yet, in her petition she calls herself a "theripist."

I doubt that she filled out the petition herself. But if she did, Duley must have been in an extremely agitated state.

2. the FBI spooked her, and she ran to get the TRO on what the FBI told her

None of her allegations were based upon anything he said or did to her, it appears.

She went off as soon as the FBI told her all that stuff. It's strictly hearsay, her whole allegations, which are not supposed to support a TRO, which requires a sworn statement based upon personal knowledge.

She's a useful idiot, and the FBI used her.
