More double talk

S.H., a Chicago reader, writes:

"A John McCain campaign spokesman said the other day that McCain really wasn't really speaking for the campaign when he said a payroll tax increase was 'on the table.' My question is: If McCain doesn't speak for his campaign, who does?"

We'll have to check with Karl Rove on that.

2. and how much media coverage did that get? just play the turn the tables game: what if
Obama had said that? can you imagine the RW response, and the intstant and long lasting media assault on him?

apparently Obama has a new ad out, but I've not seen it, nor heard it mentioned on MSNBC/CNN this morning, and I've had the TV on for almost three hours

surprised?

4. My Republican neighbor seen the new Obama ad and just told me he is voting for Obama

Ten minutes ago over coffee. I swear I am not making this up. He said the ad which highlights bringing the back windfall profit taxes on the oil companies was just what he wanted to hear. Said he can't take 4 more years of Bush.

He wanted to know where to get an Obama sign for his front yard. I told him I would get him one.

Things are good around my parts today.

5. Please, please, please, it's too much to ask that it be put into a campaign ad,
but can someone turn it into a viral video?

7. I asked that too the day he said it. We should have a campaign ad that has McSame
making the statement (it was about 'saving Social Security' and raising taxes) and then the 'campaign guru making the statement. And an over-voice, "Senator McCain claims he will be ready to lead at 'minute one' into his presidency, but who will be making the decisions?"
