Sheldon Whitehouse for Attorney General!!
Can Rhode Island spare him?

Listening to a clip from judiciary oversight hearing and he did some great verbal smackdown.

3. Whitehouse is a Republican.
I know this from a reliable source: FOX-News.

On election night in '06, as the talking heads were discussing the unsubstantiated 'rumor' that Republicans were losing their seats to Dems, they flashed a shot of the R.I. results.

Whitehouse was ahead of his opponent - so they just switched the (R) and the (D) after their names and voila!, the GOP was obviously doing just fine!

(I wonder if they're going to put an (R) after Obama's name for the next eight years?)

8. You're right, it IS surprising.
"Republican presidential hopeful Barack Obama spoke to a crowd estimated to be over 200,000 strong in Berlin today, while Democrat "Crabby" McCain was greeted by eleven curious onlookers outside a Sausage 'n' Fudge eatery."

Hey, it's not like their brain-dead audience would ever notice the switch.

11. oh, he'd be fine too - hell, we need about 10 AGs to clean up this mess
I was just feeling enthusiastic about Whitehouse and the moment and felt the need to share. Sadly, my dogs were not interested

EDIT: Your dogs are too smart to get caught up in all the politics. Nero, my cat and love of my life, is the same.

16. As a Rhode Islander I say FUCK NO!
I dealt with his headline grabbing bullshit here in the biggest little. He got his name screwing up a cop shooting prosecution. He was more interested in getting his name in the papers than getting anything done in the case.
He never would have beaten Chafee if there wasn't a nation wide revolt against the repubs.
He would be worse than Ashcroft et al.
