Anthrax killer: Who is Jean C. Duley?
Check out her affidavit. How do you spell theripist? It appears she had to look up psychiatrist. I'm not the one to criticize a person's spelling, but isn't this her profession?

How did Ivins find this social worker or was she assigned to his case?

1. "will tetisfy..."
"I have been subpoena..."

Good grief. To paraphrase BHO, "is that all you've got, bushco?"

5. NPR has the same pdf link to the affidavit.
I wonder if she was a therapist, as has been reported, or a human resources counselor? Ivins had worked there for 30+ years. He was fired. Why was he seeing her? Was she the person who told him how his benefits and pension were affected by his dismissal? I'm speculating here, but if my employer fired me right before I was scheduled to retire, I'd have to be committed too. Wouldn't you?

7. I smell scapegoat here
He was apparently fine before the investigation started. Yes being fired so close to retirement would not be good news.

3. could have some fun analyzing her handwriting
Are we a girly girl or a serious counselor, fuck it, let's be both! And obviously we're waaaaay too busy to be troubled by conforming to such trivial things as margins, punctuation, capitalization, complete sentences, maintaining type scale, writing in straight lines and so forth. I especially like the end where she tries to make the whole thing look sort of intentional and dignified by center justifying the part about her grand jury summons like it's a wedding invitation.

Kind of looks like she wrote the whole thing while it was stapled to some prisoner's back, or maybe the judge.

Sucks to have a lone nut in your vanilla ice cream. A manufacturing defect, no doubt.

(Actually pretty interesting on new info here. So he was hospitalized and then committed early part of July, apparently on this woman's say-so. Gets out week later. She gets restraining order because he called a few times and threatens this counselor while she's having him committed and later when he has temerity to question his involuntary commitment? Or am I reading that wrong (see page 1, link is page 2)).

10. Who committed Ivins?
Edited on Mon Aug-04-08 12:12 AM by whauck
Ivins was escrorted away from his work and committed to a high security psychiatric hospital? Why? Who had him committed? When he was there, did they give him psychotic drugs? His co-workers of decades, neighbors, and friends say he was a real nice guy. The therapist said he was a homicidal killer. Hmmmm. There's a slight discrepancy there.

They cite her as a social worker/therapist. What is her degree in? Where did she go to school? Who pays her paycheck? If she wasn't a degreed professional, why was she working at the Psychiatry Center of Frederick? Does anyone know if the Psychiatry Center of Frederick is for real or a CIA front?

She was only working there for 6 months? That would coincide when the FBI started escalating it's psych-ops on him.

I hope the press does their job on this one!

11. Waitaminute -- he was in a high security psychiatric hospital?
Then how the hell did he manage to kill himself with an overdose of Tylenol +codeine? They don't just leave that stuff laying around in such places.
