Lieberman To Introduce Resolution Praising Success Of Surge ‘Against Enemies Who Attacked America'
LIEBERMAN: That’s why Senator Graham and I are introducing a resolution recognizing the strategic success that the surge has achieved in a central front — the central front of the war on terror against the enemies who attacked America on 9/11/01, and expressing our thanks to our troops who’ve made that success possible.

True bizarro world - that which is false is now true. Saddam and Iraqis now having attacked us on 911. This is just so unbelieveably ridiculous and wrong that there are no words to say.

24. Go back and check who the thread is about.
And recall that this war-mongering, hate-filled piece of shit actually stands next to people like John Hagee. And then recall that he actually wants to speak at the Republican National Convention for the nomination of their candidate to the presidency.

You still with us?

Then imagine this person as the Vice President, a hair's breadth away from the Presidency, and regularly calling for more and more war, intentionally lying about Iraq and trying to confuse it with the September 11 attacks, and you will begin to see that he is not that much different ideologically from Dick Cheney.

Wow. Just, WOW.

The one where progressives were being excoriated for attacking Nader.

If you recall, Nader said that there was no difference between either of the candidates in Bush v Gore.

You still with me?

Progressives attacked Nader because he is a self-important arsehole...

Wow, just WOW indeed....:eyes:

34. Your pathetic ad hominem attacks on a true Progressive only proves my point.
And Nader was right about electing corporate Democrats who become Republicans, even standing in the way of impeachment. Nader has proven himself over decades as a true Progressive.

Lieberman has turned against his party and called for more and more blood to be spilled, stood with hate-filled bigots and the party of war and hate.

Lieberman is the one who deserves excoriation -- not Ralph Nader.

22. Because if the resolution passes, then no one can say the surge didn't work
and the lie is cemented in Congressional record

If it doesn't pass, then it will be used to attack those who refused to pander to ignorance by framing a no vote as not supporting the troops

A person would have to be incredibly weak-minded to let Lieberman punk them this way

28. That's exactly what they're trying to do..
they're trying to get everybody on voting record as to whether "the surge" worked. They'll bring all sorts of "evidence" out attesting to the "fact" that it did, then they will blast the airwaves with it. They're already in the first phases of the plan.

While they blather on ad nauseum about how deaths in Iraq have gone down, they always leave out two teeny tiny little points of information. The deaths in Afghanistan have gone up, and Al Qaeda is as strong, if not stronger, now than they were when the war began. They also fail to mention that Iraq is no closer to a workable political solution than they were 6 months or a year ago.

32. Gramps Stooges At Work...
They hope this becomes a "wife beating" ammendment so that Gramps can then go strutting around and keep ranting how "the surge is working". It's amazing how thin-skinned the GOOPers are when they're called out on this. Kudos to John Smolz of Vote Vets for shreading the right wing meatpuppet of Fleischer's 527 on Hairball last night.

Hopefully Senator Reid will either send this into committee hell or just let the clock run out and tell Goober and Joementum to go pound sand.
