Conyers' Impeachment Hearings - C-Span 10:00 am 7/25/08

I just checked the C-Span Schedule. They have the John Conyers' Judiciary Committee Hearings listed for 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, 7/25. The House must not be in session tomorrow.

Can't wait to hear Dennis Kucinich and the others!!!

7. I remember when Sesame Street was pre-empted for Watergate... now we have CSPAN3?

I wanted Big Bird, and all I could watch was Big Turd.

Now all we get is CSPAN3 and nothing is being prempted, not even Sponge Bob.

I guess this is a sign of the times.

first day. These things have a way of snowballing on their own once they start rolling.

10. Kucinich on Washington Journal Tomorrow

I just received my C-Span scheduling E-mail for tomorrow. It lists Dennis Kucinich as a guest. It didn't give the exact time, but it will probably be after 7:30 a.m. 7/25/08

13. where are the quotation marks around the phrase "Impeachment Hearings?"

because what will happen is nothing like an impeachment hearing, except that one subject (among many, all with strict time limits) will be Dennis Kucinich's 35th article of impeachment. No subpoena's, not power, no nothing. Just political theater buried on a Friday after everybody in Congress has gone home for the weekend.

Pelosi only agreed to look at the monster if all its teeth and claws were pulled and destroyed.

know that the Judiciary Committee hearings were going to be on C-Span. You don't have to watch it.

16. Oh, I'll watch! Just majorly disappointed that it's not a genuine hearing with teeth

and a future. And why not? No reason whatsoever, except to protect the part of our government which is worthless and toxic.

The witness list is great--can't miss that!

18. I know...and Thanks! Some of us are just so cynical...we have to "let loose" but it's important.

Maybe one of these days our Dems (with loose spines) will finally exceed our "low expectations."

I still hope and am always glad to see posts about their trying.

So...it's just that so many of us are cynical...while others may delight in trashing our Dems...the rest of us do it with a very "heavy heart." It just makes us sad to see so many wasted opportunities where we've promoted the Hearings and been left feeling...well ...sort of cold with the "BIG HYPE" ..followed by the "BIG LET DOWN."

I'll tune in ....but, my list of "disappointments" keeps leading me to melt downs. :-(
