It's unusual for Dave to have authors on the show, but it was clear he READ the book and wanted to give it exposure.

5. Hi, my friend, and I saw that, too! Dave was obviously very interested in what she had to say.

He gave her a great deal of time. You have to give Dave credit, that he does discuss these things. After Cheney "shot an 85-year-old man in the face," he just wouldn't let it go, had Biff running around the set for a week with a shotgun...:rofl:

And I saw Letterman, was in the audience back in January. He's as personable as he appears to be on the show, was very cordial to the audience, and always puts on a great show, even though he's been doing it for so long...:applause:

6. Excellent Interview

Here's hoping C & L posts it....very well worth the watch.

I was surprised Dave booked her, but you could see he not only had read the book (a rareity for many interviewers) but was genuinely concerned about what she had to say. No wise cracks or cheap shots...he just gave her the time to explain how this regime did torture and is now trying to paper it over. Surely millions who hadn't heard about this now do...and I admire Dave for bringing her on.
