A former soldier who was convicted of reckless homicide in Louisville 12 years ago as a juvenile has pleaded guilty to a charge of accessory to the murder of another soldier in Colorado.
Kenneth Eastridge, 24, will be sentenced to 10 years in prison under a plea agreement in which he agreed to testify against two co-defendants.
Eastridge, who was convicted in 1996 in Jefferson County at age 12 of the shooting death of a boy the same age, entered his plea in Colorado Springs on July 11, according to local news accounts.
The December murder of GI Kevin Shields, also 24, captured national attention as an example of the horrific violence allegedly being committed by some Iraqi war veterans.
On his Web page, Eastridge had written that he likes "violence, death, destruction" and "mayhem," and that "KILLIN IS JUST WHAT I DO."
