Listening to right wing radio

Turned it on to get the news. First story was unemployment rate highest in 20 years. Next story was people angry about high gas prices. Third story was mortgage crisis and foreclosures. Then local crime stories.

After the news, Rush came on. He was going on and on about Obama in the ME. He was literally outraged that he was there. "What gives him the right?" "Has St Obama ended the war yet?" and on and on. Nothing about the economy, nothing about anything or anyone but "Barry" or "St Obama" or "Obama the Miracle Worker".

The contrast really struck me.

I could only listen for about 10 minutes. Rush really makes me want to gag. So maybe he did talk about the economy eventually today :shrug:

I hate how several localities have forced people to tune into this garbage to find local news and traffic info. On a near weekly basis I have to straighten out my SO's mother about what she heard from Insanity. This shit borders on the criminal

We have no good choices here for talk radio. It's either rw propaganda or sports talk. We have a community radio station that plays Amy Goodman and a few other good progressive shows but none of those programs were on this morning when I caught Rush.

Though lately we've had a lot of, well, "subs" that I don't like as well as the originals; I do enjoy Jay Marvin in the morning, Ed Schultz at 10, Randi at 1 even though she's on XM now, and Thom Hartmann at 7.

Mario Solis-Marich is at 4, and he hasn't grown on me as well as the others yet. But I do like that he's a local guy, just like Jay.

I seem to remember that the more insanely Pigboy railed against Clinton the more popular Clinton got.

I am very suspicious-- I can't imagine him actually earning his enormous blood money since everyone I know who listens to him doesn't have two nickels to rub together and can't possibly support his advertisers.

And he is impervious to things tha get poor mortals sent to the dungeons-- I don't doubt he will call our next President a "Halfrican" again and I don't doubt he will not suffer a thing for it. Could it be he really has no listeners but is supportered entirely by Grover's Group of Greedy Givers?
