CNN's Drew Griffin on "the list" after criticizing TSA?
Edited on Thu Jul-17-08 03:47 PM by question everything
Apparently he had an investigative report, about how regular folks, an example was a former U.S. Attorney who held several posts at all government levels, has to hassle every time he has to fly.

And, lo and behold, shortly after, the reporter found himself on that list, too.

Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee from TX asked Chertoff about it.

2. Similar
Similar to Nixon's Enemies List, if you magnify that exponentially and feed it steroids and all performance enhancing drugs known to Olympic Committee's.

GWB does Enemies Lists RIGHT!

3. Has anyone gotten OFF the list?
May I suggest to President Obama that he burn it? Or put so many Republicans on it that they force it out of existence?

5. The talkin' TSA Blues
by yours truly (I fly a lot, too!)

I booked a little trip to the Florida Keys
A week of sun and a light sea breeze
Grabbed the wife and the luggage, we were on our way
But we didn’t reckon with the T S A!

Made the check-in counter in plenty of time,
Proceeded to the security line,
Took off my belt, took off my shoes,
And then I learned to sing the T S A blues.*

They said I’m on a no-fly list
I must be a famous terrorist
Osama must be my best pal,
And I was a Qaeda, ‘cause my name was Al.

They made me spit into a cup,
And that cleared the confusion up,
They couldn’t match my D N A,
So, “good bye sir, and have a nice day!”

We left to go and catch our plane,
Whispered these guys are insane
A uniform stopped us, hands on hips
Said, “We heard that! We read your lips!”

They called me bad, they called me wicked,
Demanded to know if I had liquid.
I said, “I've got five quarts of blood.”
“That’s over the limit, you’re busted, Bud!”

Now my poor wife began to cry,
She wondered if we’d ever fly.
A grim-faced man came up and said,
“We have to check. Remove your head.”

I yelled that my head was not removable.
They said they’d let it go if that was provable.
My wife said, “This has gone too far,
“Forget the flight, let’s get the car.”

We got our stuff, and drove back home,
Said, “this looks good, no need to roam!”
Home, sweet home, and you know, what’s more,
No one felt us up on the way to the door.

They say their motives have the utmost purity,
And the whole routine is for our security,
But as long as I am free to choose,
Well, someone tell United the news:
That’s the last time I’ll sing the T S A blues!

10. TSA has been nothing but one big bureaucratic cluster-fuck.
Edited on Thu Jul-17-08 05:07 PM by Raster
Just another way for connected warmongers to get their "fair share" of the bush* bloat. Thee needs to be addressed by the Obama White House ASAP. There should be a way for citizens to (1) determine if they are on the list; and (2) challenge their inclusion on said list.

I have no doubt the vast majority of those persons on the list are persons that have pissed off cheney*/bush* in some fashion and do no belong on the list. In addition, I'd like to see TSA publicly justify their existence once the fearmongers are out of office.

16. I hope that Obama takes a very thorough look at all branches
of government.

Start trimming all the useless bureaucracy. Going back to a "government for the people."

And just think - these are the ones who promote "small government."

17. Yep, what a joke on all of us...small government...HA!
No other pResident in history has bloated the federal government to such a degree. EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING that cheney*/bush* did should be subject to review.

15. Either with us or agin' us, reward those with us and punish those agin' us are what
'pukes, FISA, and the war on terra are largely and mostly about, not national security or catching terrorists. :D
