Who knew CNBC was a COMEDY channel?

Despite the barrage of bad economic news this morning - sky-high inflation, retail sales missing the forecast despite stimulus checks, sinking markets in Europe and Asia, the turmoil among banks - they continue with their Baghdad Bob-style "Everything is Great" blabbering. One of them even said, "I'm glad we're seeing this floor, it will just give us momentum for where we need to go."

Funny :spray: and sad  at the same time. At least Bloomberg introduces some measure of reality now and then.

2. The "rose colored glasses" approach
is getting a bit ridiculous. They are constantly attempting to reassure investors so they won't panic. They do this by not telling the entire truth about how bad things are. Those of us in the real world, especially here in Michigan, know the real truth. We are living it every day. If I hear the words "silver lining" one more time on CNBC, I think I will scream!!

4. Look Whose Watching...
CNBC has always been the network for "The Street"...a 24/7 commercial about how great our capitalist system is...especially the financial markets. It was to present the "American dream" in action...people making millions overnight on "smart" tips and "expert advice"...all a ploy by Jack Welch to make money coming and going. First, the network all but lives off advertising from the big brokerage houses...and you know those pay the freight get to call the tune. Then there is the GE financial companies that made billions off the market and getting more money into it means more money they make on their investment schemes. Damn straight they're singing how great it is to throw money into the market...that's their gravy train.

5. I am curious. Whatever happened to Mark? The fat guy in the morning.
I quit watching CNBC a while back and when I looked recently he was gone. I was wondering what happened.

7. RNCNBC is instructed to spin a shitheap into chocolate frosting . . .
Their anchors are either old Freidmanite capitalists or trollops who were analysts/actresses for 1-2 years and then took the Contessa Brewer path to success. It's no accident that favorite guests are free-trade praising idiots like Steve Forbes, Kay Bailey Hutchison, Carly Fiorina, and Neutron Jack Welch himself. And what's with Fast Money and their 1-second head shots?

There WILL be no negatives broadcast about the economy as long as a Repuke is in the White House. That way, archive footage from this and other stations can be used to justify the Failure Fuhrer's "legacy" and how the economy was great under his bold "leadership". Or, they'll just say "wellllll .. . presidents don't really have much to do with the economy anyway . . . .grumble grumble . . ."

8. When one has a cheer leading cable news channel, what can we expect?
I don't watch this station all that much but when I do turn in, I feel like they are handicapping a horse race with all their "insider knowledge" about where to place our bets. I'd like to seem some news people fact check these people for the last 6 months or so and see how much money we have all lost if we listen to these clowns.
