By tomorrow, it's likely that voting will be done.

And what we do together over the next 24 hours will determine what the legislation looks like.

I've offered an amendment to strip retroactive immunity from the FISA legislation.

On Monday you joined thousands of Americans online by calling your Senators
(with the help of our friends at FireDogLake) and asking them

to vote "NO" on any bill containing retroactive immunity.

6. Nope, I'm tired of calling and writing a bunch of complicit assholes...

now I'm just stocking up & preparing for when it all breaks down. I've got plenty of land to grow food on, plus have some livestock... I also have a little area with some hay growing. I've got my own well so I don't have to worry about city or county water service. If I could just get some solar or wind power going, I'd be set!

Things are going to be getting real ugly before long. This isn't "gloom & doom" ponderings, this is real life. I hear the rumblings and grumblings every day, and it's coming to a head. Prepare yourselves!

10. There's a difference between 'giving up' and realizing the futility in something..

it's what separates 'normal' from 'insanity'. Our elected "leaders" have shown us over and over again that they don't listen to us... that We, the People don't matter, except at election time.


Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results... I'm not insane, I know when to quit and try something different....

I haven't given up, I've just switched tactics. I'm preparing for the worst, while still hoping for the best. I just know that I can't count on our "leaders" or our government for my survival, or that of my family.

Please feel free to continue writing letters and calling, but I'm not wasting *my* time anymore because it's futile, imo. I still have a little work to do to be better prepared. I'm getting a couple of chickens and turkeys here in the next couple of weeks, and I'm thinking about getting a pig or two and a cow or two....

15. Nope, I'm just saying that I reached *my* limit...

Everyone has different levels of toleration of things, and I've reached my limit. As I said, please feel free to continue doing what you're doing, as long as it makes *you* feel better. One mans insanity is another mans normal. Who am I to judge? I'm just saying and doing what makes *me* feel better... and more secure.
