What the Republicans and the media prefer not to discuss
They prefer not to speak of the impending blowout of repukes in the Congress. Repuke blogs largely avoid the topic and the media rarely focuses on it. And for that matter, the neither the media nor repukes care to deal with the fact that Obama consistently leads McCain, even in states that are supposed to be so hard fought.

Sex Crimes in the White House

By Naomi Wolf, Huffington Post
Posted on July 7, 2008

Sex crime has a telltale signature, even when those directing the outrages are some of the most powerful men and women in the United States. How extraordinary, then, to learn that one of the perpetrators of these crimes, Condoleezza Rice, has just led the debate in a special session of the United Nations Security Council on the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war.

2. I think the repukes hope the MSM will make it all go away
so they can steal elections again. No, maybe not on a national scale (I think they realize Obama will fight and not roll over), but I wouldn't be surprised to see it done on some local elections.

3. 45...The "Magic Number"
In many ways I'm glad the corporate media is trying to make this election into a horse race and playing Gramps PR agents...the more they do the more it pisses a lot of us off, and hopefully makes us more determined that they eat their teleprompters on Election Day. This media has too much "invested" and too many personal conflicts to tell things straight, so they are gonna do all they can to say black is white and distort and distract. Eye on the prize!!

The big thing to watch is how Gramps does in the polls. He's gonna need every vote boooshie got/stole in 2004 to stand any chance of winning. We already know that Democratic voter roles are way up this year nationally and his base has "shrunk"...so he's already in a big hole...one the corporate media is loathe to say.

The number to watch is 45...as in 45%...if he can't get over that number in a state, he's toast...and from what I've been seeing, he's having troubles making that number in a lot of RED states...not a very good sign at all. Remember, Gramps had three months to build up his "cred" and numbers...he failed. He'll get a small bump from his convention, but his numbers have been flat for weeks...a major reason, IMHO, he brought in the Rove people...not necessarily to help improve his but to knock Obama's down.

Congress is gonna be a bloody mess for the GOOP and they already are admitting it. This is what makes winning/stealing the Executive so much more important for them...without it, the fleecing and obstruction can't continue. And a Democratic Congress is a nightmare to the corporate media who want more "deregulation" and future bail outs (the Clear Channel/Bain Capital/Carlyle Group deal goes through July 30th).
