Ray Taliaferro: "Americans need to grow larger testes. We need the guts to do what is right."
1:20 AM, couldn't sleep, got out of bed, turned on Ray (http://www.kgoradio.com/listenlive.asp)...

He's going after Limbaugh, Bush, all of the usual suspects. Has called Bush a Nazi at least three times in the last 15 minutes. Ray isn't everyone's cup of tea, but...

Cites Bush's approval rating at 22%. Say "That means that it's below 20% in some places." If you're up, turn him on. He just announced an open line. Callers are always a trip...he either bonds with them or tears them a new one.

:patriot:

2. He went on to say that he meant it "figuratively"...
...not literally...but that's Ray. He's just as likely to offend someone as he is to inspire them.

I've been doing my own personal guerrilla theater with language. I've been calling all groups of people 'girls'. When I walk into a room with folks of any and all gender, I say, "Hi girls!". Similarly in conversation I say, "What did you girls do this weekend?" In any conversational situation where most folks would say 'guys', I say 'girls'. It has gotten some rather interesting responses.

Some other things I've been doing is; substituting the word 'ovaries' for balls, telling guys they need to 'butch up' (instead of calling them a pussy, etc.) and (jokingly) threatening to kick guys in the areolae when they are giving me a hard time.

6. As much as I revile the bonehead, sexist, juvenile phrase "grow some balls"
I like that he's turning the tables on republicans by using their terminology against them.

7. The phrase does not belong to Republicans alone.
It is used quite often on this site and other progressive sites with no caveat. There is no doubt that the majority of both Democrats and Republicans believe that having balls is equivalent to fortitude and resolve.

10. LOL. About a year ago, I posted a rant about "balls" that got me a DUzy award.

I mentioned some drawbacks to having "balls", such as, when falling off the bicycle seat, or when wading into cold water. Not to mention that one always hangs lower than the other.

Biologically, testicles are the male equivalent to ovaries (developmentally, the biggest difference is that they are placed so differently).

Pretty pointless, isn't it? "Grow some balls" is just junior high slang, at any angle.
