5. Here's a tip for dealing with Comcast...

Every time the digital picture freezes, call and get a credit... Alfter about 2 weeks, call them and tell them you will switch to sat TV if they can't resolve the problem (they can't). We did this, made THEM an offer and they came back $2.00 a month UNDER that!!! We pay about $58.00 for digital cable AND hi-speed internet! Not kidding. There's a Direct TV dish on the roof of our condo. Comcast KNOWS they can't compete on signal quality...

If you complain EVERY TIME their service SUCKS, they WILL GET THE MESSAGE. I've acually told supervisors at Comcast that they run a video and data DELIVERY service, they promise great things, but their service is lame... They are LICENSED to provide a service, not string up a wire and open a collection agency!!!

I'm in Pittsburgh - I do have a digital box on 1 TV. But I haven't yet put on the TV in the bedroom cause I liked the convenience of being able to change channels when taping - yes I still have a VCR.

I may be looking to kick Comcast out and checking with Verizon FIOS if they get in my area or going satellite. I hate Comcast!

But isn't everyone going digital anyway Feb 2009?
