Network Newscasters as celebrity icons...
Edited on Thu Jun-19-08 07:47 PM by Postman
these glorified teleprompter readers serve a purpose for their corporate masters.

It is to become beloved figures in the public mind so as that when these rock-star status "newscasters" tell you something, you can take it to the bank as fact.

Which makes it much easier to propagandize large segments of American society.

1. How many people watch network news anymore?
I mean the 6:30 weeknight news. Doesn't their audience skew old?

I think what they're doing is reprehensible, but I'm not sure how many people are even listening.
