There is no significant man made global warming
That's what Channel 9 local weather God, John Coleman says on his page at KUSI here in San Diego. Coleman founded The Weather Channel BTW.

It gets better... wait for it, wait....

The cost of gas is Al Gore's fault.
You may want to give credit where credit is due to Al Gore and his global warming campaign the next time you fill your car with gasoline, because there is a direct connection between Global Warming and four dollar a gallon gas. It is shocking, but true, to learn that the entire Global Warming frenzy is based on the environmentalist’s attack on fossil fuels, particularly gasoline. All this big time science, international meetings, thick research papers, dire threats for the future; all of it, comes down to their claim that the carbon dioxide in the exhaust from your car and in the smoke stacks from our power plants is destroying the climate of planet Earth. What an amazing fraud; what a scam.

The future of our civilization lies in the balance.

That’s the battle cry of the High Priest of Global Warming Al Gore and his fellow, agenda driven disciples as they predict a calamitous outcome from anthropogenic global warming. According to Mr. Gore the polar ice caps will collapse and melt and sea levels will rise 20 feet inundating the coastal cities making 100 million of us refugees.

1. It's the fault of the EnviroMarxists who..
.. won't vote for more drilling, more refineries,
and use of shale.

That's what we get from Freeperland.

I try to explain that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid,
and all the other DINO's are NOT liberal and
not concerned about the real solution to our
oil and gas problems.

The solution has nothing to do with oil and
everything to do with alternative energy that
is clean and efficient.

I just say: Oil bad. Clean alternative energy
good.

17. Those enviro-marxists are all powerful
and, they've had so many allies in the White House in recent years - Reagan, Bush Sr, Cheney, Bush Jr... I mean, how can they be stopped? It's enough to just hope to contain them. I mean, they are single-handedly responsible for scaring the oil industry into shuttering 2/3 of their refineries for fear for 9 cent a gallon gas

5. The MLB started that ball rolling...
...with that lawsuit against Fantasy Leagues.

They lost of course, but that just means the next lawsuit will have learned from their mistakes.

4. Well he's convinced me.
Let me illustrate. I estimate that this square in front of my face contains 100,000 molecules of atmosphere. Of those 100,000 only 38 are CO2; 38 out of a hundred thousand. That makes it a trace component. Let me ask a key question: how can this tiny trace upset the entire balance of the climate of Earth? It can’t. That’s all there is to it; it can’t.

Damn. You just can't argue with science like that!

Between this, and the extra large type font he used, he's totally convinced me!

:sarcasm:

6. he does understand
with those molecules the entire Earth would be a frozen ball of ice and the difference in IR absorption of homonuclear diatomic molecules and other gases... oh he doesn't understand infrared absorption at all. Appealing to stupidity, the true mark of a genius.

8. Yep,
pretty hard to argue with that kind of science.

I like the part about the ice caps are not melting!

I think he teaches science classes at Jesus Camp.

7. He's an idiot

While it is true that carbon is considered a trace element in the atmosphere, it is irresponsible to say it can have no negative impact simply BECAUSE it is a trace element.

Tell a scientist that trace elements have no impact on the outcome of experiments and they'll laugh at you. Stupid boob.

9. That's funny. Maybe I'm just naive - or stupid - but as an
environmentalist myself, I've found the environmentalist community largely silent considering the door being wide open for them (us) to simply walk through.

10. So if man didn't exist the planet would never warm or cool?
I wonder what was causing warming and cooling for the billions of years prior to our industrial revolution?

11. Check out his impressive credentials!!!
http://www.kusi.com/about/bios/weather/1838191.html

"Being a TV weatherman in San Diego is an outrageous scam," says KUSI NEWS' 6, 10 and 11 PM weathercaster. Then he laughs. He knows there is plenty of truth in his joke, but he also knows its a long way from the whole story.

"Actually there is plenty of weather to forecast in San Diego from the morning marine cloud and fog banks to frosty nights and heat waves. There are Pacific winter storms, El Ninos and La Ninas, Santa Anas, SOSA's (Sort Of Santa Anas), WOFs (Walls of Fog) that come ashore following Santa Anas, June Gloom and there are mountain snow storms and summer heat waves. There are droughts and floods. We have plenty of weather. But we also have long spells of wonderful sunny, mild weather. San Diego is famous for our good weather. It's what makes this America's Finest City." That is the meteorological monologue that follows John Coleman's scam joke.

John Coleman has been a TV weatherman since he was a freshman in college in 1953 and TV was brand new. He still loves predicting the weather and relating to the television viewers. "I also love working at KUSI NEWS", he adds. "It is a rare thing; a locally owned and managed TV station. And, there are dozens of wonderful people who work here."

John has predicted and shoveled his share of snow. He has been a TV weatherman in Champaign, Peoria and Chicago, Illinois; Omaha, Nebraska, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and New York City. For seven years he was the weatherman on "Good Morning, America" on the ABC Network.

John also cooked up the idea of a cable channel devoted to nothing but weather and spent six years developing "The Weather Channel" on cable. "That's my baby", he says. "The bad guys took it away from me, but they can't steal the fact that it was my idea and I started it and ran it for the first year. I put everything I had into making TWC the success it is."

"As for my "retirement job" at KUSI, it's the most fun I ever had. And the people of San Diego County have been wonderful to me for well over a decade. That's very, very nice. And, that's all I have to say." With that Coleman gets down to work predicting the weather one more time.

With a scientific background like that, he must know what he's talking about! :eyes:

13. You haven't lived until you
actually see him do the weather. It's like Mr. Rogers meets Plan 9 From Outer Space.

He appears all the time on Fox News and CNN slamming Al Gore and what he claims is fake science - He is leading the charge of all the anti-green people.
