Does Anybody Know Why Black Helicopters Are Buzzing Downtown Denver.......

for the last 45 minutes a series of unmarked, unlit helicopters - are flying low and flying fast. I thought one was going to hit the top off the Hyatt Hotel in Downtown Denver. They are buzzing right now - anybody know what is going on? We counted at least five - but someone said it might be fewer just circling. Kind of scary.

I was on the other side of I25 from them, so there was some highway noise, but still, they were not real loud.

Completely dark. You could only see them silhouetted against lights, or buildings behind them. Both doors were open so you could see through the body of the chopper. The ones I saw did not appear to have people in the back, as you could see through the vehicle clearly.

allowed them to be spotted. I talked with a guy on the street and he said this was going on from around 7pm. I first saw them around 9:30pm.

He indicated that there were two to three small Scout helicopters (don't know if thats the name of the helicopter or their function - as a scout) He said he saw at least one guy sitting on the rails of one of them.

Then he said that the unmarked black helicopters came in - he called them 'black ops' helicopters. He said that they were flying fast toward a building called by Denverites - The Holy Ghost - I don't know why. He said that it looked like they were practicing touch and go's except they weren't touching down. He indicated that outside of a helipad at a hospital - there are no helipads in downtown Denver.

He thought - just like someone else mentioned here that they were practicing for the DNC.

Completely dark and very new tech machines. I sat in the parking lot of Wild Oats (Now Whole Foods Market) at Louisiana and Washington and watched two of them buzz the construction site of the new urban living development where the tire factory was. It was very surreal because they had no lights on at all. They were very sleek, aerodynamically, were very fast and maneuverable and looked like military machines from the future.

I figured it was war games for the DNC. Those will be strange days in Denver.

The flights had people all over town calling authorities to find out what was going on.

Military choppers fly over Denver during top secret drill

A half-dozen military helicopters flew low over parts of Denver Monday night as part of a security drill organized by the U.S. Department of Justice. Denver police said they were aware of the operation, but could provide no details.

The secret drills coincided with preparations for the Democratic National Convention, which will take place in Denver in late August. The Denver Post reported that the military aircraft “buzzed above the Pepsi Center,” the site of the convention..
