'I freed millions from barbarism', says President with no regrets
end his delusions. impeach arrest sentence convict imprison

President Bush flies into London today for the last time as US leader. In an exclusive and wide-ranging interview with Ned Temko on the eve of his visit, he defends his legacy, issues a stern warning to Iran ... and reveals his plans for a freedom institute devoted to 'universal values'

Asked what he thinks his legacy might be, he says he is happy to await the verdict of history. But he cannot resist also offering his own, suggesting 'the liberation of 50 million people from the clutches of barbaric regimes is noteworthy, at a minimum'.

8. There WERE 26 million in Iraq.
Since Bush's illegal and immoral and unnecessary war, the number of Iraq people has dropped to 25 million.

(meant with all DU respect, madokie!)

Surprisingly (I did not realize it until just now), Afghanistan actually has a larger population than Iraq.

Anyway, what a dumb *@#(%^&)*@$!

I can't wait til someone liberates the U.S. from its barbaric regime.

20. He is a megalomaniac, and he is NOT through with his grandiose delusions.
We are in grave danger this year of this madman doing something truly insane.

Not that the war in Iraq isn't truly insane, but look out.

He's capable of even worse, and I think he believes it's his destiny to go out with a bang. A really big one.

21. Which certainly calls into question who the barbarian is.
"The enemy aggressor is always pursuing a course of larceny, murder, rapine, and barbarism. We are always moving forward with high mission, a destiny imposed by the deity to regenerate our victims while incidentally capturing their markets, to civilize savage and senile and paranoidal peoples while blundering accidentally into their oil wells or metal mines."
John T. Flynn, As We Go Marching

All murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets.

29. Freed them from barbarism. Enslaved them to corporatism.
Out of the frying pan into the fire. At least under Saddam, Iraqis had food, water, electricity, plumbing, jobs & security.
