At least based on my little section of Iowa. More severe storms, incredible downpours where it does rain. Longer and more severe droughts where it doesn't.
Anybody need a few feet of water?
BTW here is video on DUer Cornfield's blog

2. my local weather jerk was asked if this has to do w/global warming
and he assured all of us that no, it has nothing to do with it. this system will pass. and that will be that.

whew! what a fucking relief. i'd hate to think this is going to be a pattern

(it's true that i would hate to think it is going to be a pattern)

4. global warming is a conspiracy designed to line the pockets of scientists
Cars do not emit CO2.

The Greenhouse effect does not exist.

The sun spots are just giving off more heat.

8. Natural Disasters up 400% in 2 decades -
looks like the "Day after Tomorrow" decided to happen today. Geez, already, more tornadoes than ever before and they can't see the ones that happen at night so they're probably under-reported. The Jet Stream has moved farther north (they predicted that would happen) so places that never had this weather before get it now.

9. Sometime soon. Within the next four years. We and our government are going to realize
that there is something happening here. And that we are going to need to start doing something about it. Things like moving away from rivers and the ocean. More complicated things like finding alternate sources of energy and better conserving those sources we have left. We must be willing to adapt and change. Big time.

10. and most large cities have big rivers through them
so imagine the mass exodus, relocations and that's not including farmland, farm animals (that really breaks my heart when I see all the drowned cows, horses, etc). Then there's in place shelters for areas in tornadoes paths which are becoming so much more numerous. It's a nightmare.
