Most ALL Dem Liberal Blog Sites...came out Early for Obama...so he owes us!
I understand that he needs to "build more base amongst Indies" but, still he "OWES US."

So...I'm wondering if he would support (under the radar) both Kucinich and Wexler's support for "Impeachment Hearings" against Bush...as a "Fact Finding Mission."

Without a "Special Prosecutor" like Ken Starr or Jawarski for Nixon...our House of Representatives are going to have a hard time getting subpoenas honored and "unredacted" e-mails and documents of Bush/Cheney even aired...because Bush/Cheney keep "claiming Executive Privilege" and without any "Special Prosecutor" there isn't an Indie Voice pushing for "Full Disclosure."

So...all that's left to us Dems who voted for Obama over Hillary in our Primaries...is to get Conyers and the Rest to finally "take Impeachment off the Table." And the only way (without a Special Prosecutor) to get subpoenas honored and "undredacted evidence" into legal process is to start Impeachment Hearings to get "Discovery" that will allow "Civil Suits" to occur after Bush/Cheney leave office. It will take some time...but START IT NOW! Because if we don't then we will be back again to Nixon "getting off" and his supporters and many in his cabinet getting some "time in jail" but that Nixon was allowed to "Resign" rather than be IMPEACHED...caused all those folks involved with Bush/Cheney and Cheney, himself, and his fellow cohorts in the Nixon Regime like Rumsfeld and many Neo=Cons to come to power once agains when they found a willing "rehab idiot like Chimpy Bush!"

If we don't do this NOW then a new Dem Administration might be willing to let it all "go under radar" to create "unity...sweeping the Constitutional Violations under the rug" and in another 4 Years we end up back with Repugs...because the Repugs love REVENGE...and they don't allow "prisoners" to have MERCY!

We need to IMPEACH to start down the road of "Discover and having Subpoenas Honored to get to the "SMOKING GUN" of BUSH/CHENEY. If we don't do it NOW......then WHO WILL DO IT?

6. You mean Conyers and Pelosi and Hoyer? ....Impeachment is off Table?
Edited on Tue Jun-10-08 06:18 PM by KoKo01
When they KNEW all FUNDING WAS COMING FROM their "Progressives?" Sad....that they didn't have polling to show that...or they ignored it.

I don't know what to think ...and there are lots of "Progressive Dems" like "ME" who don't know, what the Heck to think about ANY OF THIS...

We are the "Forgotten Dems" ...not "Religious Right" sort of "tweenies between Obama/Hillary" but we've gotten involved in our DEM PARTY....and still find it lacking...even if we went "door to door" for Kerry.

It's a sad state of affairs for Dem Party...even those of us who still send Howard Dean Contributions because we KNOW he's WITH US! We send him "Donations marked with .01 Cents and if there's a space on our Check...we "mark it with contribution for Howard Dean."

We are so pitiful...aren't we? GIVING MONEY FOR DEMOCRACY! What (We thought) was DEMOCRACY...

3. I don't think he owes us.
But for the sake of argument, should we call this debt in even if it costs us the election?

8. Why would you want to cripple his campaign with our demands?
How many demands do we get? Are there any limits? Who decides which of our many special demands Obama must comply with? Is it more important to impeach Bush or defeat McCain?

All I am saying is back off and lets get this election won. Lets let Obama and his staff decide what issues to press and which to not push at all. I don't want the Obama campaign to be driven by dozens of outside groups each demanding a show of loyalty, none of them particularly adept at election strategy.

9. We are always being told..."Wait until the next election...and you will see what we can do" by our
Party. When does this end? How many more election...after election after election?

12. Your argument makes very little sense.
I was all for pushing impeachment back when we captured congress in 2006. That was the time. This is not the time.

You need to convince me that a symbolic and futile and potentially destructive 'show of loyalty to our cause' by Obama is more important than kicking the republican party out of the white house, and you are not even trying to make that argument. Instead it is just 'Obama owes us', and 'we can't wait any longer'. So what if 'Obama owes us'? Why exactly is it important to impeach Bush right now, and why is that more important than getting the Bush regime out of control of our military, our federal government, get them out of their role obstructing Congress from doing anything, get them out of control over three or more supreme court nominations?

10. I believe in the rule of law so I support the impeachment moving forward.
But I don't think Obama needs to endorse it himself.

Let the impeachment hearing begin. The House can impeach the President without the Senate needing to remove him. Bush would still be "impeached" in the history books just as Clinton is now.

The hearings can drag out past the November elections. As long as the hearings are being held, as long as the investigations are being made, there's no reason for Barack to give an opinion as it would be premature.

Impeachment belongs in the House of Representatives and he is a Senator.

I certainly sympathize with you and stand with you as to the rule of law being followed, but I don't think Barack is compelled to say anything until the hearings are done, until the House has actually impeached the President and it moved to the Senate.

11. He doesn't owe you a thing, and he knows it...
Now that he's secured the nomination, he's going to do what he wants, regardless of your feelings on the matter. I doubt that Bush, Cheney, or the rest are going to see the inside of a jail cell withing the next 10 years or so. Indeed, I strongly doubt that any major investigations are going to occur after 2009. One thing we can be sure of about Democrats and Republicans is that they cover each other's asses when it comes to shit like this. Because, 9 times out of 10, both Democratic and Republican presidents end up committing some type of war crime while in office.
