Any statement from Pelosi on DK's Impeachment res.?
You think her dead silence means she's considering her (er I mean America's) future?

She lied to us also.

2. Why should there be a statement from Pelosi about "Impeachment"?
It's off the table, you silly git!

5. Most of them are way too busy...
First, they need to devote full attention to really critical stuff. Like this:

H. Res. 972

Supporting the goals and ideals of American Heart Month and National Wear Red Day.

Recognizes and reaffirms the commitment to fighting heart disease and stroke by promoting awareness about the causes, risks, and prevention, supporting research, and expanding access to medical treatment.

Encourages all Americans to learn about their risk for heart disease.

Thanks the gods that this milestone declaration passed -- after the customary 40 minutes of heated debate, of course.

Second, the other problem seems to be that only a few of them can walk and chew gum at the same time and it's apparently easier to support American Heart Month than consider impeachment. I'm not even sure there's much of an American heart left once the Bushies' blessed us all with their unique brand of "compassionate conservatism."

So... no time for the Constitution, time only for proclaiming things like national mayonnaise month or congratulating a boy scout for rescuing a cat stuck up a tree.

Great stuff, Ms. Nancy and the rest of the congressional invertebrates and pretend democrats who depend on that little "D" to cover their Vichy tracks.

You just keep concentrating on the big picture while the smart bombs fall on Tehran, proving again that they're actually dumb as posts by hitting daycare centers, hospitals, the random mosque and a few schools -- full of kids, of course.

If things really go well, the US can also be responsible for wiping out museums housing seven or eight thousands years of priceless and irreplaceable artifacts from the Fertile Crescent days.

But that's not what we'll see and hear from our elected representatives. Rather, at least 200 of these candy ass invertebrates will gather on the capitol steps to sing mindless patriotic songs and display their little lead-painted, made-in-China-by-slave-labor flag lapel pins for the cameras.

Because they're self-serving hypocrites first and humans second (or maybe lower), they'll wave their little made-in-China-by-slave-labor flags and blather about their support for the troops -- even though they're mainly been supporting them by providing the money to get nearly 4,100 of them killed and another 25,000 severely injured (or maybe thousands more, but who's counting).

Having survived Iraq, the wounded now face treatment and rehab at the new, improved, rat and roach infested, privatized VA.

Then the speechifying begins, but I don't really want to imagine how horrible that's going to be. I've had enough of visualizing these wastes of air space for one afternoon.

8. And I just discovered exactly how busy they are these days...
Here's today's House calendar:

Clearly, there's no time for impeachment; not with this stuff sitting around gathering dust and demanding their attention. Judge for yourself:

1) H.R. 6028 - Merida Initiative to Combat Illicit Narcotics and Reduce Organized Crime Authorization Act of 2008 (Berman – Foreign Affairs)

2) H.Res. 1063 – Marking the 225th anniversary of the Treaty of Paris of 1783, which ended the Revolutionary War with the Kingdom of Great Britain and recognized the independence of the United States of America, and acknowledging the shared values and close friendship between the peoples and governments of the United States and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (Rep. Wu – Foreign Affairs)

3) H.Con.Res. 318 – Supporting the goals and ideals of the International Year of Sanitation (Rep. Payne – Foreign Affairs)

4) H.Con.Res. 332 – Recognizing the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Rep. Fortenberry – Foreign Affairs)

5) H.Con.Res. 337 – Honoring the Seeds of Peace for its 15th anniversary as an organization (Rep. Allen – Foreign Affairs)

6) H.Con.Res. 336 - Honoring the sacrifices and contributions made by disabled American veterans (Rep. Altmire – Veterans’ Affairs)

7) H.Res. 1235 - Expressing support for the designation of National D-Day Remembrance Day, and recognizing the spirit, courage, and sacrifice of the men and women who fought and won World War II (Rep. Scalise – Veterans’ Affairs)

8) H.Res. 1010 - Recognizing the importance of manufactured housing in the United States (Rep. Donnelly – Financial Services)

9) S. 682 - Edward William Brooke III Congressional Gold Medal Act (Sen. Kennedy – Financial Services)

10) H.Res. 1145 - Recognizing the 100 year anniversary of the establishment of St. Mary's Cooperative Credit Association, the "Bank of the People", and the birth of the American credit union (Rep. Shea – Porter – Financial Services)

11) S. 254 - To award posthumously a Congressional gold medal to Constantino Brumidi (Sen. Enzi – Financial Services)

12) H.R. 3229 - National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center Commemorative Coin Act (Rep. Westmoreland– Financial Services)

13) H.R. 2268 - Mother's Day Centennial Commemorative Coin Act (Rep. Capito – Financial Services)

14) H.R. 1553 - Conquer Childhood Cancer Act of 2007 (Rep. Pryce - Energy and Commerce)

15) H.Res. 977 - Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that rebate checks would better stimulate the economy if spent on American-made products and services from American-owned companies (Rep. Braley - Energy and Commerce)

16) S. 2146 - To authorize EPA to accept, as part of a settlement, diesel emission reduction Supplemental Environmental Projects. (Sen. Carper - Energy and Commerce)

17) H.Res. 1236 - Expressing the sympathy of the House of Representatives to the citizens of Black Hawk, Buchanan, Butler, and Delaware Counties, Iowa, who were victims of the devastating tornado that struck their communities on May 25, 2008 (Rep. Braley –Transportation and Infrastructure)

My personal favorite is H.Con.Res. 318 – Supporting the goals and ideals of the International Year of Sanitation.

Now if my first ex-wife's second husband's cousin's kid the contractor could ever get around to installing the damn indoor plumbing, I could finally get rid of this outhouse once and for all.

4. I only hope she learned something when she got her ass handed to her over 333
Maybe she did. I seriously doubt it, though.

6. If she tries to block impeachment. The Sponsors should ask her to recuse herself.
Edited on Tue Jun-10-08 03:01 PM by Wizard777
She now stands to become President and that could constitute a conflict of interest.

12. If she Recuses herself. I think Steny Hoyer would preside as Speaker of the House.
Edited on Tue Jun-10-08 04:11 PM by Wizard777
Wait a minute! His disctrict is on the Eastern Shore in Maryland. Dick Cheney and Rumsfeld have houses there. So Steny might even have to recuse himself.

11. There are impeachment resolutions against both POTUS & VP.
If both are impeached. She is the President. There is now viable Path for her to the presidency.
