Sorry if this is a duplicate, I lost my search function.

Raw Story is reporting:

Please Obama, just say no to ABC a McBush propaganda tool. Hold out for PBS only with League of Women voters. You are in the drivers seat.

4. ABC News broke away from Obama's victory speech as he was about to explain...
Edited on Sun Jun-08-08 09:57 AM by Eric J in MN
...how McCain has been going along with Bush this year.

ABC News also broke away from Hillary Clinton's concession speech yesterday to show Jake Tapper criticizing Hillary Clinton for not saying the words "He won and I lost." (I doubt that Mitt Romney was similarly criticized on ABC News when he endorsed McCain.)

Obama shouldn't go on ABC.

7. we're on the same wavelength
i heard in the past couple days that obama said no to lobbyist money for the campaign. i'd like to see the democrats boycott fox news and every time they're asked why, repeat the talking point that fox is nothing but a right wing propaganda tool, not a true news organization.

i've little hope they'll follow my advice, though.

16. Good for him...
I have a long-standing 'grudge' with the propagandists that are our 'media'. As a matter of fact, I believe they are as responsible as Mr. Bush is for lying us into war. ABC's "Path to 9/11" is reason enough for them to stay far away from holding debates that might in any way help determine who the next President of the United States will be.

17. When they hosted a previous debate, ABC planted an audience
member to ask a stupid question about flag pins that they were too ashamed to ask on their own. There is no way ABC can be trusted to pick an audience, or be an impartial referee.

22. There is more to this Story: Bloomberg/Sawyer want to help moderate it
Aides to Bloomberg told The Associated Press he might like to have a role in the town hall, such as shaping questions or speaking with the candidates, but that those details would have to be worked out with the campaigns.

Bloomberg, for his part, always expressed disdain about the televised debates held during the primary season, claiming he never watched them because they didn't delve into important issues and gave candidates only short intervals to answer questions.

Bloomberg spokesman Jim Anderson said the mayor is making the offer because he is "excited about a campaign where voters interact directly with the candidates in a town hall format, and thinks New York City is the ideal setting for a first meeting."

ABC hosted several debates during the primary season, three in prime time. "Good Morning America" host Diane Sawyer would likely be the moderator for this town hall, an ABC News spokesman said.

>>>>Bloomberg supporters also have pushed the idea that he could be a running mate for either McCain or Obama.>>>>

He's also a insatiable narcissist and perrenial candidate for *anything*, and whose PR apparatus never sleeps.

If Obama, et al take him up on this they are out of their minds.

36. DENIED! Both Obama AND McCain refuse!
http://news.bostonherald.com/news/2008/view.bg?articlei...

(snip)

"NEW YORK - Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama rejected an offer by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and ABC News to host the first general election town hall meeting because they do not want it limited to one network, their campaigns said Sunday.

(snip)

"But the campaigns said no to a formal offer outlined in a letter from Bloomberg and ABC on Sunday envisioning a 90-minute primetime broadcast moderated by Diane Sawyer to kick off the town hall series in New York City. The campaigns said the candidates intend to make the town hall meetings open for broadcast on all television networks or on the internet, rather than sponsored by a single network or news organization."

Hey, morons at ABC...There's a Commission on Presidential Debates and they pretty much have a monopoly on when, where and how an debeates will be presented.

So take this as my invitation to shut yer friggin' pie hole and wait till this fall.
