2. reconciliation? that has always implied, to me at least, that all sides have something valid.
there is NOTHING to reconcile with these lying, thieving, murdering thugs and their enablers and supporters. sorry, the ONLY thing I want to see happen to all of them is conviction before the ICC of war crimes and crimes against humanity. the sooner, the better.

3. War crimes trials. There HAS to be accountability and punishment
for Bush administration people. There's no way around it.

8. War Crimes without a doubt
Though majority of house and senate will end up under indictment as well. Since they approved fighting a war of agression and keep sending money to fund the war.

9. Given the challenge of the American national ego, I'm thinking a commission would more likely lead,.
,...to more impactful long-term deterrences than war crimes trials.

Obviously, our national ego is slow to warm to the reality of war crimes and crimes against this nation and crimes against humanity committed by those ELECTED TO REPRESENT us.

So, I figure,...a commission would most likely lead to something resembling justice than the insanity incited by a war crimes trial because you and I know damn well tons of money would be poured into publicizing false outrage and creating further division. Moreover, if a commission ended up provoking the legislation of laws prohibiting the profiteering and any other behavior tending to TEMPT gravitations toward war-mongering behaviors, that would be better than whatever immediate sense of justice could ever accomplish.

Nevertheless, I do wish the entire PNAC/neocon regime would fall to the bottom, losing everything they gained from their crimes,...and then some. I can't help but want ALL OF THEM to lose all property and liberties because, even that loss could NEVER EVER make up for all the damage they caused to so many.
