Do you think there's any chance that BO will consider Sen. Boxer
as his VP? I like the way she handles herself, she's strong/feisty but tactful in anything she rebutts, and she's as progressive as hell. Although, she may be too progressive for those sitting on the fence.

Do you think those two would make a good fit? Why or why not?

1. There is no way he will pick her.
Two words: San Francisco.

8. How about 5 words:
Peoples' Republic of San Francisco. It is seen as the center of leftist politics. He would lose any chance of carrying states like Missouri or Virginia and would probably even lose Wisconsin and Minnesota.

I don't agree, but as someone who lives in the midwest I can tell you that is the way it is.

3. She'd be a good Sec of Interior too..
but I think she's a great Senator, so maybe just leave her alone there.

10. Agree - Senate seats are far to valuable to loose too.
I think that is the best argument against Webb being the VP. We simply can not afford to lose seats in the Senate.

11. I'm conflicted about Webb.
I agree, losing him as my Senator would be a shame, but watching them together last night, damn they'd make a good team.

7. Oh, the "San Francisco liberal" label.........
It's too bad that we haven't yet moved the country past the "liberal = demonic" meme.

I guess we'll have to give it a couple more election cycles......

6. Shes one of our favorites
lets remember, we can't choose politicans from states with Red Governors. Heck, Arni would probably appoint himself.

9. No. He will pick a white man from the south.
Webb, Clark, or as a long shot Richardson to try to capture some of the western hispanic vote for the party for decades to come.

12. I'd be happy with any one of those three..
FWIW, I think his cabinet will be the most diverse we've ever seen, so I'm okay with a white man at V.P. I really wish it would be Edwards though.

13. Gov. Jennifer Granholm
I think Sen. Boxer has become way too important, needed, in the Senate, especially now that she is starting to run, and brilliantly, important Committees there. Lately, I have been thinking about our great Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, who is being forced out of office because of that Goddamned Republican "term limits" crap. She was a great Attorney General before, is a smart negotiator as Governor--dealing with Republicans who WANT to destroy Michigan's economy--and is a fabulous campaigner who always wins crowds over. She is a Democratic woman, very important under these circumstances; the only thing is, she was born n Canada although she is an American citizen. I know that would rule out the Presidency, but I don't think there is anything against Vice-President. I love Boxer, she is needed in the Senate.

15. Here's a thought, what about Max Cleland?
I really don't know that much about him except for how horrid the RW was to him during the election.
