anybody but the officials who deceived the public! Personally, I think McClellan is full of it, meaning I don't buy his sincerity. But that is beside the point. The point is the deception by Bush and others (WHIG, OSP, media propaganda/fearmongering). And it wasn't limited to the justification for the invasion. The occupation policy was just as deceitful. Bush was told what would happen if Hussein was removed (the likeliness of sectarian violence). He was told that the occupation force wasn't large enough to maintain order. It doesn't take a genius to realize the danger of disbanding the entire Iraqi army. It also isn't rocket science to realize that "Shock Doctrine" economic policies would not go over well.
At this point one has to be sick to pretend that supporting Bush's Iraq policy is patriotic. Unconditional support for a leader is pathetic. It's authoritarian garbage.
