1. I hope not
He should run as our candidate.

As an independent, he will split the vote, lose, and cost us dearly in the process.

9. Because you would prefer a less qualified candidate chosen for you
by the M$M.

13. I'm not talking about ME. I'm talking about Al Gore, who no doubt remembers
what happened with that third-party candidate in 2000.

And, BTW, the media has never told me how to vote. I've been voting for Democrats since 1972.

3. No chance.
I can imagine few Democrats (or Democrats in name) less likely to go the independent route. Al Gore is no Joe Lieberman.

6. Depending on who else is running and their positions.
I'll be voting for the the most progressive anti-war candidate on the ballot.

21. NEVER happen..................
Gore is a Democrat and always will be. An 'independent' has no chance of winning and potentially could do a lot more damage to the Democrats than the rethugliCONS.

sets up a colony on Mars and then runs from there?

24. I do not believe he would leave the democratic party
but if he did think how interesting the election would be.

If Hillary and McCain get their party nominations, he would get all the progressive votes, many of the moderate Republican votes and all all but the DLC supporters in the democratic party.

However, it would not work out so well if Gulianni (sp) gets the republican nomination.

25. If he ever decided to do that I would support him ONE HUNDRED PERCENT
Edited on Sun Mar-04-07 03:00 PM by RestoreGore
A free unencumbered man unshackled by the corporate media sound bite, military industrial complex, BS political system that includes Republicans and Democrats would be a breath of fresh air and truly a Jeffersonian move on his part because I put the man first, not party. That is why we are in the mess we are in now. However, since he correctly believes that this system is toxic, he would then also know that any man who runs by putting principle over party would never win in this country where partisan political bickering is more important.
