White House had a copy of McClellan's book 1 month in advance!!!
Just reported on MSNBC. They even said that McClellan had met with some top White House officials on May 2nd to discuss it. No wonder all of their answers were synchronized. Also, how could they be 'shocked' and 'puzzled' if they knew about it a month in advance? Our nation is being run by a bunch of idiots!

24. Why should there be a thesaurus in the White House?
Apparently, no one there knows how to read that either! }(

2. "We're puzzled" is the best they could come up with with a month of prep.
Really lame.

This also means everything in the book is true, or at least true enough that the WH can't refute it.

11. 2nd most common GOP response is ... "disgruntled"
Here's hoping Scottie's skin is super thick.

12. They're attacking Scott and not the book material
Great observation. One month of preparation and this is their pathetic defense.

...the outrage is all manufactured.

20. Of course it was, which I pointed out the night the first salvo
of quotes was released. They had to approve the contents before it went to the publisher and approve them again once the book was due for release.

They've been coming up with responses in front of focus groups for many months. This is all the stuff the focus groups of dumb people responded to, and it's why they're all using exactly the same words. This is an advertising campaign, developed and run exactly the same as any car ad.

It's also why the book only confirms that this gang are the kind of jerks we already knew they were without offering much else.

They knew this was going to be a smear book, but they probably were able to delete anything potentially incriminating before it went to press.

5. The book had to be vetted so I'd bet they've known for months it was coming...
Although they might not have known that Scott would hang them out to dry as he did.

7. Yes, we should understand that this is all part of some scam...
If this book was really what it seems, McClellan wouldn't have lived to write it.. just saying...

10. The damage was done by the time they found out
You can't suicide someone when the publisher already has a copy of the book. It's too obvious.

like they had to do to get Bush to notice Katrina 4 days after it hit.

21. I really don't think
they care any more. Junior and company are on the way out the door and anybody with at least half a brain knows by now that Iraq is a sham. There's really nothing left for him to damage by publishing the book now...

28. If their best attack is
left-wing blogger, they're in for a rough next couple of months. Everybody knows that Bush is debating whether or not to attack Iran this summer or fall. If he does do it, his approval rating might dip into the negative percentages.
