Next year, I'm starting a "Students for Free Expression" club at my high school.
Honestly, my principal runs the school like her own private empire. I mean, she banned cursing and fake weapons in all school plays - period. There's practically no political debate at my school, and it's basically full of censorship. Most high schools are, but mine is in a way that's kind of crazy.

So, I'm starting a "Students for Free Expression" club. And no, I don't care if the admin doesn't like it.

Wouldn't it be ironic if they tried to keep me from forming it?

Anyways, do you think I should go ahead with it? And do you have any suggestions on how to run it?

1. Free express yourself all over the walls of your HS restroom.
A principal I used to know decided to shut down one of the boys rooms because he didn't like the grafitti. Well, by law they have to provide at least some boys rooms, and boy did they ever give him a piece of their minds.

4. I don't condone graffitti...
but neither do I support shutting down the washrooms. That's absurd.

2. I think you should go ahead with it
Start by lobbying to allow the drama students to choose their own plays in consultation with the teacher.

Best of luck to you!

5. You should start a new chapter of Students for a Democratic Society at your school to protest.
