Man, President George W. Bush must really be feeling good about himself right about now! Why? Because even though the citizens of the United States have given him consistently bad marks on his approval ratings, and even though every book written by former advisers/administration officials keep saying what a horrible decision maker he is, there is still one man who wants President Bush near him and who needs his help: John McCain!
Just one stipulation from John McCain though, President Bush: we absolutely cannot be seen in public together, o.k.?
So in other words…John McCain couldn’t sell diapers to a new mother or knives to a butcher; and that is exactly where President George W. Bush comes to McCain’s rescue…Bush is still beloved by the majority of the Republican base who just happen to have pretty deep pockets. John McCain needs those deep pockets because he cannot out-raise Barack Obama and he cannot out-raise Hillary Clinton either; Obama consistently triples and quadruples the monthly intake of John McCain and Hillary nearly doubles it.
But all the while…John McCain is trying so hard to distance himself from the policies and methods of the Bush Administration because he knows that he will lose to either Democrat if the voter perception is “4 more years!”
But what exactly does John McCain believe in? Outside of his military service, what is exemplary about him? How is he going to lead us forward and keep America the best country in the world while still helping it improve?
The prickly personality of John McCain leaves him no choice: he has to have President Bush around to raise money for him; heck, it took Bush just two hours for a dinner in order to raise over 3 million dollars! John McCain would be lucky to raise that amount in 7 days! I suppose the key, knowing that Bush will be around him in order to fund-raise, will be for John McCain to dazzle the crowds and convince the voters that his “straight talk express” and his ability to look into his own “crystal ball” will make America safer and more prosperous!
The only problem is this: John McCain has no vision for the future; he just wants you to know that he deserves the Presidency, damn it, because he’s paid his dues!
We owe you nothing John McCain except our gratitude for your outstanding military service during the Vietnam War; with regard to the Presidency, you aren’t entitled to it, you have no original ideas, you have no vision for the country…you’ve only patched together a piece-meal quilt of ideas that YOU THINK AND BELIEVE THE VOTERS WANT IN A PRESIDENT.
The reality is that you have no clue what we want because you are arrogant and don’t listen; so keep up the good work of confusing voters and putting together contradictory policy agendas because it really doesn’t matter what you say or do from here on out…YOU WILL NEVER BE ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
Just a little straight talk for you, my friend!
