3. The "Pundits" Keep Tauting Him For VP...
That "bipartisan" thing...cause Hagel hates boooosh and is against the war for profit. Of course, they fail to note that Hagel is pro-life and voted the boooosh line more often than not. We can do a lot better.

4. America needs his voice right now.
The lies they have been fed by the republican establishment have to be countered.

6. Webb Would Be Just As Good In That Role
The VP needs to be the bad cop to the President's good cop or visa versa. It's a dynamic that allows Obama to stay high road that appeals to the independents while Webb...a former Repug would disarm the military/patriot game that Gramps is sure to play and also will do very well in the areas the corporate media angsts so much over...West VA, Ohio, PA and several other borderline states...and Webb's a known commodity...and can be counted on not to put another Scalito on the court like Hagel did.

With all the slime and lies, if Democrats can't win the day on the merits and realities, then this country is lost. Hagel's a nice guy...hope he enjoys his retirement.

10. I like either Webb or Hagel as long as the man at the top of the ticket is none other
than Barack Obama. I trust him to do as he says or die trying, yes thats why I love the man 'cause I trust him.
Webb would be my first pick for vp though.

11. The Key Here Is The People Around Him
The problem with our electoral system is it's evolved into a personality contest...like voting for prom king and queen. You rarely hear who a candidate would surround themselves with and, as we've seen with this regime, that matters a great deal. We know that Gramps will load his cabinet and pockets with his lobbyist buddies and neo cons...the dudes who brought him to the dance.

I'd like to hear the people Senator Obama is considering for cabinet jobs...moreso than VP. As far as a veep choice, I am still very leery about "reaching across" in such a high position. The GOOP didn't even give us a meeting room yet a seat at any table...and the messes that we'll need to clean up won't be a bipartisan one. If Democrats win in November, then they're on the clock and the record...if they succede I want it with our own people. Let the GOOP reach across for once...you sure aren't hearing about any Democrats who will be part of a third booooosh term.

Cheers...

12. Actually
it seems he prefers to "stink" with democrats and other similarly mided people, regardless of party affiliation. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1207/7370.html

The American Security Project announced Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) is joining its bipartisan board of directors.

Hagel is joining fellow Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) on the board, as well as retired Marine Corps Gen. Anthony Zinni and Richard Armitage, former deputy secretary of state in the Bush administration.

“Sen. Hagel’s record speaks for itself,” said former Sen. Gary Hart (D-Colo.), ASP’s president and chairman. “His willingness to question assumptions and his courage to speak difficult truths are qualities that are needed to end the paralysis that dominates the discussion of national security issues today. He has been an eloquent advocate for the use of all the instruments of American power, and we enthusiastically welcome him to the board.”
