Rent these tonight! The US vs John Lennon and Shut Up and Sing (Dixie Chicks)

I rented both of these last night - they made for a great double feature.

Both are extremely well done, both truly portray how the parnoid governments of Nixon and Bush try to keep anyone who dissents quiet - especially artists, and of course both have great music.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Of course, they are kind of depressing, because it shows that things are worse now than they were in Nixon's time. In the Special Features of the Lennon film, several of those interviewed confirm this - G. Gordon Liddy of course disagrees. God, what a psycho he is!

I will add them to my Netflix list today.
It is going to be hard though with the John Lennon one, knowing that he was killed for it, and that was an emotional thing for me.

Have you seen Who Killed The Electric Car? That is well worth watching too
