2. But it's Al Gore's fault that we can't drill in Alaska,
this according to my rwing father last week. That's the conservative meme on high oil prices; that the Liberals are halting drilling in this country, thus driving up prices of crude.

6. And in November, 2000, it took only 0.8552 dollars to buy one Euro
Now (as of April, 2008) it takes 1.5754 dollars to buy one Euro. Is there any aspect of America that Bush hasn't ruined through his failed policies?

It's the democratic congress silly, not the oil companies and their puppets in the white house.

Oh-and I love that graph... especially the drop in price around September through November of 2006 right before the congressional elections. I was telling my wife back then about what an amazing "coincidence" that oil prices were falling right in time for the elections.

No price gouging my ass. :eyes:

13. In an editorial I read here yesterday, the writer claimed
it's Saudi Arabia (whom benefits, petrodollar wise), because there's no intention of producing oil for sale by Iraq ergo all those petrodollars go into Saudi Arabia's huge treasure chest.

16. Certainly made the Saudis MUCH wealthier.
Roils that is. And a few Kuwaitis and Indonesians etc.

Oil at $125 bbl. also makes Venezuela much wealthier. And Bushco can't have that.

Honest Americans pegged the plan way back:

"The Best Thing in The World for Big Oil" ...Bobby Kennedy Jr. and Palast on why Saddam had to go.

18. There's really no doubt about which dots should be connected here...
*Cheney's 40+ private meetings with oil and energy execs to decide US energy policy
|
|
|
*Iraq
|
|
|
*Oil $125 a barrel

It can't be any more obvious at this point to the people paying attention.

And of course Greg Palast was right ;)
