1. Those that drive while talking on their cell have poor mpg too

And they cause others behind them to lose their good mileage as well the traffic flow run smoothly.

2. Less stop-and-go traffic = less time sitting there idling and eating gas.

Unfortunately, where I live, there is no mass transit. There's maybe five buses or less for a city of 16,000+ people.

3. I have noticed a dropoff in discretionary driving....particularly on the weekends.

I think more people are parking it, 'cause they need to save the gas money for getting to and from work. And they're not going out to eat or shopping as much.
