Is there a way to search for a response to an OP?
I forget the subject line of the OP and who the OP was, but I DO remember the first person to respond and what his/her response was -- can I search by that? I'm trying to find the damn thread again and am driving myself crazy.

Thanks!

9. I'm glad you asked this question. I can't even find my own posts, lol
and in general, never figured out how to search DU. Thanks, gateley.

10. Check out Kali's response -
She gives step-by-step instructions (which I need). Still can't find what I'm looking for, though :banghead:

I always wondered how people were able to retrieve past posts so quickly -- now we know! :hi:

11. I can always find my posts, for some stupid reason, they are all getting added
...to my journal, so every day or so, I have to go remove the stupid 'kick' and "me to" type posts so that anyone who checked my journal wouldn't think I was totally in love with everything I write.

6. here is how I would do it:
go to this page http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/ (unless you know what forum it was in)
then click the search icon at the top
then click "simple search" from DU search function (if recent, advanced if not)
in "Keyword(s):" put in the user name of whoever you are looking for

in "Search which field(s)?" click "Author"

Ignore the rest and click "search now"

7. Thanks, Kali --
I was coming up with WAY too much stuff on the Google search!

I'm beginning to think the damn thread disappeared -- I mean REALLY disappeared, although I don't see why it would have been yanked.
I've searched through GD and GDP sorted by time, most recent activity, etc., to no avail.

Usually, though, when something like this happens, it's not quite as I remember it, so the fault lies with me.

I'll give this a shot! :hi:
