You say you want a strong military to keep us from dying at the hands of others.
You tell me time and again to give up a good chunk of my pay so that we can bail out corporations, buy weapons, aid foreign governments, and give bizarre tax breaks to people who can afford to understand them because they have enough money to hire accountants to understand them.
You want ME to do all this and more and yet you won't even consider a freaking health care plan for everyone? You have it for yourselves, the people we employ in the government have it (at our expense).
You want ME and people like me to give more and more for our 'safety' and to 'protect' us when YOU are not willing to even give and INCH to protect us from what is really harming us day in and out?
Health and Mental care. Medicine. The things we need THE MOST and you want it left up to private industry and clinics.
You spend about a Trillion on a war against a country that had no means to harm us, all in the name of 'protecting' us from harm, and yet you won't do what needs to be done to really protect us.
Screw you.
All of you politicians who see this war as something you need to keep funding. All of you politicians who cower and worry about how others will see you.
Take a damned stand for once, for us people here who pay your salaries and your health care.
We are so mired in what He said/She said, bush, etc that we are letting them slide on the real issues now. They won. We lost.
If the only way we think we can win is to be like those we fight against, then we have lost already.
Iraq was not a threat. They had no WMD. But people ARE dying here everyday from lack of good health care.
They don't really care about YOU.
And THAT my friends is a damned scary thing.
Screw you if you think funding the Iraq 'war' is a good thing while letting people here die because you are afraid to make a stand on health care.
You are not a friend of the people here if you are for funding this war and not ensuring we all have readily accessible health care. I don't care what letter you have after your name.
