OK, ‘fess up. Do you have more compassion and courtesy toward drivers with “Kerry/Edwards" stickers
...than you do toward drivers who display “Bush/Cheney" stickers?

When someone changes lanes or turns in front of you without signaling and that car displays a “Bush/Cheney” sticker, do you scream “A**hole! You think you’re sooooo f**king superior to the rest of us that you can do want you want and we peons can just back off!,” but if that car has a “Kerry/Edwards” sticker, do you think “Poor guy. Probably doesn’t have the money to get his turn signals fixed.”

If you see a car run a red light or stop sign and it has a “Bush/Cheney” sticker, do you scream something like, “A**hole!!! You probable think you’re sooooo f**king important that traffic laws apply only to us peons and not to you!” but when you see a car with a “Kerry/Edwards” sticker doing the same, do you think, “Poor guy. Probably racing to his second or third job lest he gets fired for being late”

If you see a “B/C” car with the driver on a cellphone, do you think “Hey, hang up and drive. You’re endangering lives here!!!” and if the car has a “K/E” sticker, do you think, “Poor guy, must be checking on a sick child or parent. Hope all turns out well!”

But really, don’t you back up just a little bit more to allow someone with a “K/E” sticker to merge or turn, perhaps even courteously waving them on, but have a “**** you, you’re on your own!!!” attitude if the car has a “B/C” sticker? Wouldn’t you be more likely to stop to help a stranded motorist if he/she had a “K/E” sticker and more likely to have a “T.S., pal. Get help from you ****ing Repub friends!” if the car had a “B/C” sticker?

C’mon, now. ‘Fess up! I don't mean to the point of "road rage," but doesn't any of this sound just a wee bit familiar?

2. No
In "my" part of Atlanta people don't generally put political stickers on their cars. In fact, I have only seen 1 "W" sticker and no Kerry/Edwards stickers - ever.

14. Up here in Cherokee County, northwest of Atlanta,
there are plenty of Bush/Cheney stickers. I am in a totally red county. Occasionally, I will see some Democratic stickers.

Near Gainesville, I still ONLY see "W" stickers or...even worse..."W--Still the President" stickers.

Never, ever, ever have I seen a Kerry/Edwards sticker.

6. fessing up...yes..
I get angry and my bp goes up when I see a bush sticker...I find myself more compassionate towards stickers that are democratic...I even did a little dance when the latest ice storm took down a farmer's huge bush banner in Iowa...I hate seeing that banner.. and now its gone finally..

8. Nope, I just think "still stuck on stupid" when I see B/C stickers.
I really am a rather cautious, courteous driver, but I'll swear at anyone who does something stupid in traffic with or without stickers or regardless of the type.

10. Abso-fucking-lutely. Guilty on all counts.
You know what's even better?

Spotting a Bush/Cheney sticker on a convertible that has the top down, getting in front of them on the highway, and hitting the button that cleans your windshield.

17. no, but I do notice more asshole drivers with B/C stickers
so the results may be biased.

What shocks me more is that ANYONE is proud enough of these murderous clowns to still sport a sticker proclaiming it. It makes me want to put other stickers on their cars, such as "I support torture" or "I supported the war and all I got was this crippling national debt" and "I was fooled by a moran, but I'm too proud to admit it now" but I would never do that of course.

Maybe.

18. There is more than enough human tragedy ...
Edited on Fri Mar-02-07 12:07 PM by TahitiNut
... to explain the instances of inattentive driver behavior, imho. Drivers are human ... and people who're suffering from the loss of job, the death or severe illness of a loved one, undergoing the stress of contracting an devastating illness themselves, and undergoing any of a plethora of life's traumatic experiences is far more than enough for me to assume, in the vast majority of instances, that distracted behavior on the highway can be attributed to such life circumstances.

I spent too many years yelling "Asshole!" It takes only a moment's reflection to recall times in my life that my own stresses undoubtedly resulted in behavior on the roads that are far from exemplary. So, if I mistakenly give a "free pass" to someone just innately inconsiderate and reckless, it's more than worth it to not let it get to me and not engage in the jump to judgment. Even Cheney/Bush supporters have tragedies. (Hell, just being one would be more than I could bear myself.)

19. In my neck of the woods, it is common to see b/c stickers
the other night I had to go to store, and we saw a Kerry/Edwards sticker on a car's bumper in the lane next to ours. My daughter and I both laughed because the guy still had the sticker on his car. I said he was braver than most people around there, and my daughter said "Yeah, I was so mad on election day I took mine off and tore it into a million pieces." I laughed again and said so had I. I stuck my Obama sticker on a post in front of my then residence to poke a finger in the eyes of all the republicans that drove by. (Don't ask me to explain my thinking at the time, I was just a little angry here in red neck country.)

21. I Always Love Seeing Democratic Bumperstickers and Signs
I live in a very Democratic area, so I get to see Democratic or anti-Bush, "Impeach Bush," "Save Social Security," or here in Michigan, "Granholm for Governor," etc. bumperstickers all the time, which does make you feel happier and more hopeful about life. If I pull up behind a vehicle with a Democratic-type sticker on it, I act as if I am reading it for the first time, and give myself a litle smile to let them know I agree, (very subtle, so it won't look weird). I feel as if I am safe and welcome in my little corner of the world if our Democrats are out here proclaiming themselves--I like it. I would feel like shit if I were surrounded by Republican filth.

22. Yes
Not all the time, if someone cuts me off aggressively they'll usually get an upraised finger salute and maybe some nasty words but if it's a dolt with a B/C sticker or even worse one of those "thank you florida" stickers I'll usually berate the poor sod until one of us turns off.

23. I feel so disgusted when I see people claiming Bush STILL after all that's
happened. I mean, even the dumbest of pugs have caught on to how much of a liar Bush is. I also feel the same contempt towards drivers of cars that display the confederate flag.

24. Not always the safest thing to do.
Back in Tricky Dick's day (and probably still true today), pukes would put Democratic stickers on their cars and drive aggressively/recklessly in order to piss off voters. One of the official tactics of CREEP.

Now they do think they have immunity from consequences. So, the observation that pukes are nastier drivers is accurate.

Personally, I take every opportunity to help our own and attack the enemy. True, yelling "asshole" at them does not change their behavior or mindset (as my wife always reminds me), but it does make me feel better.

They do need to be slapped down at every opportunity. Kindness is just seen as weakness.

25. Yes. folks with KE bumper stickers...
get great latitude in their lane, but I don't recall ever having one infringe on my space. Folks with BC I try to stay away from...they're likely do to anything. Either they're worried about their financial statement, or they're stark raving mad. Nobody I want behind me, or in front of me.

Almost 99% of the time I'm looking at a middle-aged or older white male who is furiously gripping the steering wheel. No doubt listening to his favorite hateradio talker in order to get his rage on.
No female in sight.

28. Guilty as charged
Edited on Fri Mar-02-07 03:50 PM by VancSouthpaw
A while back, a car with a Kerry/Edwards sticker still on it cut me off. Instead of angrily speculating about his probable parentage and behavior around domestic animals, I just thought "well, at least he votes better than he drives", whereas my blood pressure goes way up when a Bushstickermobile does the same thing.

Edited to disguise how bad my typing really is.

30. I have noticed a few B/C or W04 Drivers are AHoles
who drive like W rules the country - like they own it. Never saw a K/E or other Dem sticker driver be an ahole on the road - well except for me. I've regretted occasionally being courteous to a B/C car.

I will confess I love to get in front the the drivers who still display B/C or W04 stickers and let them read my 01-20-09 Bush Last Day magnet, or Love my country Hate Bush magnet sticker.

31. It's pretty obvious to spot the W supporters in Orange County:
They're the ones who usually drive the biggest gas-guzzling SUVs and raised pickup trucks. And they seem to be really proud of it too.

So to answer the question, yes I do.
